15 000 bottles of wine have been personally selected over the past decade by the proprietor. Matured private bins, cult and boutique wines are now available. Great vintages are cellared in refrigerated and humidity-controlled perfection.

Local wines are offered in 3 unique ‘terroir’ categories for guests to appreciate their differences. These are Coastal, Mountain and Inland vineyards. Close relations with top growers allow guests to select the Cape’s gems.

Rodwell House Private Cellar is a modern creation, engineered out of natural sandstone, designed to provide a sophisticated but user-friendly experience. Most evenings see informal and fun wine tasting opportunities that concentrate on select, often comparative, tastes. Regular events with top wine makers take place, and can be tailored by request to specific guest interest. Relax in comfort singly or in groups. Master Classes that provide truly great wines are on offer. These world class affairs provide memorable and often unique experiences. Private sommelier dinners in our tasting cellar rooms can be booked for special functions or celebratory events.
